About this ride

This is a three-day road cycling camp in the Pyrenees, and the only multi-day trip on the Ride Mallorca list. Over 320 km you climb about 7,400 m, which works out at roughly 107 km and 2,470 m a day. The days are built around long mountain passes rather than rolling terrain.

The logistics are handled for you. A support van follows the group, a mechanic is on hand for bike problems, and the hotel stays are part of the package. Your only jobs are to ride, eat and sleep.

The rest of the Ride Mallorca tours are single outings, from a two-hour e-bike ride to a 118 km coast road day. This camp asks for something different: the ability to climb hard, recover overnight and climb hard again twice more. Treat it as a training block in the mountains, not a sightseeing ride. It is graded hard and suits riders who already cover long distances with significant ascent.

  • Support van following the group
  • Mechanic on hand throughout
  • Hotel stays included

Who this camp suits

The camp is graded hard, and the numbers explain why. Averaging about 2,470 m of climbing a day for three days in a row is demanding even for strong club riders. It suits road cyclists who already ride long days with plenty of ascent and who want to see how they hold up on consecutive mountain days.

It is not a good first multi-day trip, and it is not for anyone who has only done flat or rolling rides. If your longest climbing day is under 1,500 m, build up first. The Mallorca big climb morning is a more sensible test.

What three days of passes feel like

Expect each day to be organised around long sustained climbs, with descents that give your legs a break but not much rest. At about 107 km a day, the distance is moderate. The ascent is what wears you down, especially on days two and three, when fatigue builds.

Pacing matters more than speed. Riders who go hard on the first pass often struggle later. The support van means you can take on food, add layers for cold summit descents, or stop if the day goes badly. Ask the partner when booking about the exact daily routes and which passes are included.

Van, mechanic and hotel support

The package includes a support van, a mechanic and hotel accommodation. Together they remove most of the planning that makes a self-guided Pyrenees trip hard: carrying luggage, finding a bed after a long day, and dealing with a mechanical fault far from a bike shop.

That makes the camp different from the day tours on this site, where you finish and go home. Here you ride, rest in a hotel and start again the next morning. Check with the partner about bike hire, meals and transfers, as these are not covered in the summary.

How it compares with the other tours

The Costa Brava coast road ride, at 118 km, is the longest single day on the site, but it is rolling and includes a lunch stop. This camp covers nearly three times that distance and has several times the climbing.

The Mallorca big climb morning is the closest in character, with plenty of ascent per hour, but it is over by lunchtime. Choose the Pyrenees camp if you want repeated mountain days and do not want to organise any of the logistics yourself.
